Florham Park New Jersey
Florham Park is a small suburban community located in Southeastern Morris County, approximately 30 miles west of New York City. We are bordered on the south by Madison and Chatham Boroughs; on the north by Hanover and East Hanover Townships; on the west by Morris Township; and on the east by the Passaic River, The Borough is 7.6 square miles in size, and has a population of 12,605.
Residents enjoy good schools, a wide variety of recreational activities, and many activities such as our Summer Gazebo Concerts and our awesome 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Display. Florham Park’s convenient location to trains, buses, and major airports, and a friendly small-town atmosphere make it easy to understand why Florham Park is one of Morris County’s most desirable communities to live in. The New York JETS recently completed construction of a State of the Art Training Facility and Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park and now consider Florham Park home.
Once the site of two major estates, one now a private gold club and the other a suburban campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, the 7.6 square-mile Borough provides a large municipal recreation area, a private and a public golf course, a municipal swim club, numerous businesses, professional office buildings, an industrial park for light industry and residential development.
The Little Red Schoolhouse, official emblem of the Borough, is a reminder of its roots as a colonial settlement. While no longer used as a school (It was built in 1866 and classes were held there until 1914), it represents continuity amid change. The building has remained a visible symbol of traditional values. It is now a museum, open to the public, and operated by the Florham Park Historical Society. Florham Park is known for its community spirit, civic pride and involvement.
